How to Be 99.9% Certain You Will Find an Ethical Printer for Your Auto Service Reminder Stickers

One major category of decals is automotive decals and stickers, which include service stickers such as the oil change reminder decals. There are lots of uses for auto stickers, from licensing to parking permits to oil change reminders, although most automotive service companies we've found prefer to use static cling reminder stickers.

If you've ever handed out free stickers to kids, you've probably heard their Mom or Dad say something like, "Now Johnny, make sure you don't stick that on something without asking permission." Well, some of these stickers (especially cheap give-away kids stickers) are made with adhesives so strong that it's really difficult to get it off of something it's stuck on, and sometimes almost impossible.

The oil change sticker is primarily used as a temporary decal, so it stands to reason that both the owner of the vehicle and the service company would want the oil change decal to be easily removed and replaced with a new service reminder sticker every time customers bring their car in. Static cling automotive decals for your service company's oil change reminder label simply make sense, don't they?

The short answer is yes. Almost. There are varying thicknesses of static cling automotive stickers for your oil change labels, but as long as you're in the 7 to 8 mil range, these labels should stick just fine.

More importantly, I believe, is who you are going to hire to make your car decals and stickers for an oil change sticker. There are three sites you should check to make sure the printer of your auto decal stickers is a solid company. Don't just check one of these, as none is a good as a standalone, in my experience.

First, check out your auto decals stickers printer at http://www.bbb.org. Since the material used for an oil change decal is roughly equivalent, you just want to make sure you're hiring a good print company. And not all print companies have equivalent business ethics.

Since I personally have not found the Better Business Bureau to be 100% reliable, I would recommend that if you're checking out companies to print your automotive decals and stickers that you also check out http://www.ripoffreport.com. While the oil change stickers aren't a big-ticket item, no one wants to get ripped off, so if you Google the prospective printing company's name, and on the first or second page of Google their name comes up on the aforementioned site, you may want to see what the complaint is. If there is only one complaint regarding the potential decal printer, it's probably not much to worry about, especially if the BBB record is clean for the oil change reminder sticker printing firm.
